How much does data recovery cost in the Dominican Republic?

Price depends on media type, capacity, and plan (Basic, Standard, or Urgent). HDD/SSD: USD 325–2,150 (RD$ 19,500–129,000). Flash memory and smartphones: USD 100–1,035 (RD$ 6,000–62,000). RAID: USD 485–1,985 per disk (RD$ 29,000–119,000). A lab intake fee applies on receipt (see next question). We give a FIXED quote before we start. Full table at /en/precios.

How much is the lab intake fee?

HDD/SSD/portable USB drive: USD 25 (Basic or Standard) or USD 85 (Urgent). RAID, NAS, server or multi-disk DVR: USD 75 per array. Flash memory (USB, SD, microSD), smartphones, and tablets: FREE. The intake covers the technical diagnostic and is non-refundable.

How long does data recovery take?

Depends on chosen plan and capacity. Basic: 15–25 days. Standard: 4–7 days. Urgent: 1–72 hours. Flash and smartphones: 3–7 days (Standard) or 24–48 hours (Urgent). For high capacities the timeline extends and we inform you in the quote.

What happens if you cannot recover my data?

No service fee. The intake fee paid on receipt is not refunded because it covers the technical diagnostic. Flash memory and phones do not pay intake, so if we do not recover you pay nothing.

How do I deliver my device?

Three options: 1) Bring it to our lab at Plaza Galerías de Naco, Santo Domingo. 2) Ship it by courier following our packaging guide. 3) For B2B cases, we can coordinate pickup.

Do you guarantee confidentiality?

Yes. Standard NDA available for any case. We work with banks, law firms, government, and businesses. Documented chain of custody for forensic cases.

Do you recover BitLocker-encrypted drives?

Yes, if you have the recovery key or password. Without the key, BitLocker AES-128/256 is mathematically unbreakable. If you use Active Directory, the key is normally escrowed there.

My drive is clicking. Can I keep trying?

NO. Clicks indicate head damage. Each additional power-on scratches the magnetic platters further. Power off the drive IMMEDIATELY and bring it to a professional lab. The first attempt has the highest probability of success.

Is it true that freezing the drive fixes it?

NO. That myth has been around since 2005. Condensation when pulling it out of the freezer creates internal humidity that destroys more data. Never freeze a drive. Power it off and take it to a professional technician.

Can I open the drive to see what is inside?

NEVER. Hard drives are assembled in cleanrooms (Class 100 or better). A single dust particle the size of a fingerprint on the magnetic platters can ruin recovery forever.

What types of failures do you handle?

ALL. Logical failures (format, deletion, lost partitions, corrupted filesystem), physical failures (heads, motor, PCB, electrical damage), firmware failures (locked drive, damaged translator), RAID failures (failed rebuild, multiple disks down), ransomware, damage from water/fire/impact.

Do you recover RAID server data?

Yes, it is one of our specialties. RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50, 60, JBOD. Synology, QNAP, Dell, HP, NetApp, EMC NAS/SAN. Important: do NOT try to rebuild the RAID before talking to us — incorrect rebuilding is the #1 cause of total loss.

Can you recover data from an iPhone with a broken screen?

If the iPhone still boots even with a broken screen, almost always yes. If it is off and will NOT boot: on pre-2020 models we can attempt chip-off; on post-2020 models, hardware encryption makes it impossible. IMPORTANT: if the iPhone does not boot AND the unlock passcode is unknown, recovery is not possible on modern models — encryption is bound to the device processor.

Do you work with legal and forensic cases?

Yes. We deliver documented chain of custody, technical reports valid for courts, prosecutors, and insurers. DVR/CCTV cases for legal evidence are common.

What professional tools do you use?

We have specialized lab tools for each category: manufacturer-level HDD/SSD firmware repair, professional byte-by-byte imagers, cleanroom for opening drives, BGA soldering station for chip-off of flash/SSD/smartphones, and forensic suites for filesystem and RAID reconstruction.

Do you have experience with specific brands?

Yes: Seagate, Western Digital (all series), Toshiba, HGST, Hitachi, Samsung, Crucial, Kingston, SanDisk, Lexar. For SSD: Phison, Silicon Motion, Marvell, SandForce, Indilinx, JMicron.

Do you offer priority express service?

Yes. Express priority service available at additional cost (~30–50% more). For B2B cases with enterprise SLA we offer plans with guaranteed times.

Do you accept USD payments?

Yes. We accept USD and DOP. Bank transfer, credit card, deposit. For B2B cases we issue fiscal invoice (NCF).

Do you accept devices from abroad?

Yes. We receive devices from the Caribbean, Central America, South America, and the US. We have a dedicated international intake form at /en/international-form. We coordinate secure courier.

Can I track my order status online?

Yes. We have an online tracking system. You receive an order number when the device is checked in.

What guarantee do you give on recovered data?

We verify integrity before delivery. If a recovered file does not open or is corrupted, we try again or report honestly. We provide a detailed list of what was fully recovered, partially recovered, or could not be recovered.

What is +DR's recovery rate?

98.6% documented across common failure cases. For extreme failures (fire, severe physical damage) the rate drops, but we keep trying. Each case is evaluated individually.

What certifications and experience do you have?

Our engineers are certified as Data Recovery Engineers by SalvationDATA. We work in a Class 100 cleanroom, with 16+ years recovering data and 13,850 cases received. You can see the certificate at /certifications.

Do you work with distributors and resellers?

Can you recover bank / government server data?

Yes. We have worked with financial institutions, government, and law firms. NDA, chain of custody, proper handling of sensitive data. Verifiable track record.

What happens to my device afterward?

Three options: 1) We return it when we deliver the data. 2) We physically destroy it (with certificate) if you ask. 3) We hold it for 30 days post-delivery, then dispose per policy.
